Data Capture Experts is an Australian-based, fast-growing software company with a mission to digitalise, optimise and automate information-intensive business processes by harnessing the power of modern cloud technology.

We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Associate Project Manager to join our expanding product engineering team in Colombo. The Associate Project Manager will collaborate with our development teams to ensure project milestones are met and that deliverables are of the highest quality. This role involves working under the guidance of senior project management staff, providing administrative support, and contributing to the planning and execution of project activities.


Responsibilities:

  • Plan, execute, and complete projects within specified timelines.
  • Coordinate the use of internal resources for the project.
  • Develop and maintain work plans, schedules, and resource allocations.
  • Monitor project scope, risks, and changes.
  • Monitor project performance with appropriate tools.
  • Lead team to achieve project objectives.
  • Identify and resolve conflicts within the workgroup.
  • Be actively involved in driving the further development of our products and services.

Job requirements

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience as an assistant Project Manager in an Agile environment.
  • Familiarity with software development processes and lifecycle.
  • Experience in Issue-tracking tools such as JIRA
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Creative problem solver with a learning mindset.
  • Having PMP/ CSM/ PMI-ACP/ PRINCE2 Certification(s) will be an added advantage.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
